Meet Our Family.
Hi! We are the Rodriguez Flores family and
we are very happy to meet you and share our journey towards a plant-based diet.
We are Afro-Dominicans and we share a passion for food, welfare and social justice.
Ivanna joined the party in March 2017 and has been the biggest push towards a plant-based diet. When she started eating solid foods, we thought more about the things we were putting in our bodies and decided that we had to make a change. Together, we began to incorporate more and more plant-based foods into our meals.
Although it has been fun, it has also been challenging. We missed many of the things that, as Dominicans, we grew up eating. Ideas began to flow and we have been experimenting with Latino vegan foods. We have created some tasty dishes that we hope you like too!

I was born and raised outside of Boston, MA, but my parents sent me to the Dominican Republic for many summers as a child
I am currently working on a PhD in Social Policy
Running is one of my favorite activities, I started with a 5K and now I am an ultramarthon runner
I have loved cooking and being in the kitchen since I was a child, so many good memories!
I love to travel and explore! Ivannoe and I try to make a few trips every year, it’s really fun to eat in new places
I could drink a mimosa at any time of the day or night
I love being a mom and my little family is everything to me!

I was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
I studied hospitality and have always been interested in social science and culinary
I’ve worked in the kitchens of a few cook from scratch restaurants and hotels
I started running in 2014 and have completed a few races from 5Ks to a half marathon!
I am an adventurer, a traveler, a family man and father
